Nærbøparken

Nærbøparken is a green space and inclusive meeting place in the center of Nærbø. Here you can visit a café amongst blooming cherry trees, pick fruit and berries, exercise on the activity trail and visit the duck pond. Hå municipality owns Nærbøparken.

Opening hours and facilities

There is an cafe in the park pavilljon that’s open almost every day except Saturday. Volunteers in the park run the cafe. When the flag hangs outside, the cafe is open. There are toilets in the pavilljon. On Wednesdays there is also digital assistance in the café via mobile and tablet.

As a rule, the opening hours are:

  • Monday: 10:00-13:00
  • Tuesday: 10:00-13:00
  • Wednesday: 10:00-13:00
  • Thursday: 10:00-13:00
  • Friday: 10:00-13:00
  • Saturday: Closed
  • Sunday: 13:00-16:00

The Christmas park

On Saturday 3 December, Nærbøparken transforms into a magical Christmas park with winter lights, Christmas birds, gnomes and traditional Christmas kiosks. Welcome to a unique and free family event from 12.00-18.00.

You can experience this in the Christmas park:

  • Hå Culture School has a Christmas show at these times:

    • 13.00 - 13.30

    • 15.00 – 15.30

    • 17.00 – 17.30
  • An outdoor camp
  • Trips with horse and cart
  • Face painting
  • Elf dance
  • Park bingo with prizes
  • Exhibition of Christmas birds
  • Christmas music from choirs and bands
  • Sale of food, drink and cozy gifts
